The NHL2's marquee match up tonight will showcase the league's premier scorers, when Steven Stamkos and the Toronto Maple Leafs host Tyler Seguin and the New Jersey Devils.
New Jersey (38-26-5) has their sights set on an Atlantic Division title, but will be in tough against a Toronto team that's already clinched a playoff berth (48-19-3).
Leafs captain Steven Stamkos will try to wrestle the Art Ross trophy away from reigning scoring champ Tyler Seguin, as the two superstars go into the game tied atop the NHL2 with 85 points.
The game will also feature some of the league's brightest young stars, as Jersey's 24-year-old cornerstone defenceman Adam Larsson will try to contain Toronto's teenage tandem of Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
Larsson has racked up almost 400 hits + blocks + takeaways this year to go with 35 points, while eating up an average of 26 minutes of ice each night for the Devils. Meanwhile, Marner and Matthews have combined for a staggering 42 goals and 113 points to place first and third amongst rookie scorers respectively.
Ben Bishop (36-13-2) is back in for the Leafs after backup Martin Jones dropped a 4-2 decision to the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Sunday. Bishop goes head to head with Pekka Rinne who's looking for his 32nd win of 2016-17.
Toronto has only six regulation losses at home this season.
